Projects that connect.   

We give young people with mental and physical disabilities and their mothers the chance to take part in a unique training. With a teacher specially hired by us, the participants learned how to make candles using very simple methods. Materials such as bamboo, glass, plastic bottles and eggshells are used as a candle shape, the wax is colored with natural substances and provided with fragrances. The production of high-quality candles gives the mothers the chance to earn money on the one hand and, on the other hand, the mother-child bond is sustainably strengthened. And this in turn gives the children more recognition within the family in the long term.

In ongoing workshops we teach the right candle finish, improve its packaging and provide advice with know-how and the necessary materials for the further and continuous development of this project. The candles are available for sale in selected stores in Kathmandu and Patan. The result: every candle, a unique piece - made with a lot of joy and care.
