Demolition. Becomes a new start.

Quick help is needed - especially in the very remote regions outside of the Kathmandu Valley.

Dolakha region: We organized building materials (tarpaulins, corrugated iron, bamboo, tools, nails, etc.) for the construction of 27 emergency shelters, gave tips on building and helped ourselves. With the great support of the Vurunga Youth Club, we were even able to set up a hut for a physically challenged man in just one day. Without our help, the single and arm-amputated man would have had to continue to spend his nights outdoors.

Kalcha Tole / Bageswori region: The village is only approx. 20 km from Kathmandu. Nevertheless, there was no international aid team on site after the earthquake. Our destination is on the eastern edge of the Kathmandu Valley. The roads are partly difficult to drive off-road routes. We brought the 150 or so villagers the essentials of food, medicine and tarpaulin to survive the first few weeks.

Bhaktapur region: A physically and mentally handicapped girl had been living with her grandparents in a makeshift hut since the earthquake, as her house was destroyed. We managed to bring Ramila's fate to the attention of an expert from Great Britain. Thanks to his great help and support on site, we were able to make the family's emergency shelter weatherproof before the onset of the strong monsoons in 2016.
